NMC Healthcare, the new operator of Ruwais Hospital, held an open house at the hospital on Tuesday, 20th March 2018. The event brought together members from all sections of the Ruwais community and raised awareness for healthy lifestyles. Identifying preventative care and wellness as a key objective in Ruwais, NMC emphasized the importance of regular health checkups and provided free diabetes, obesity and cholesterol screenings to those in attendance. The open house also included free dietician consultations and facial massage therapies for women and men. Children also enjoyed the event through fun, interactive games and informative health talks.
As part of NMC’s initiative to engage with the Ruwais community, the event showcased the healthcare provider’s wide range of best-in-class medical services and its exceptional service-oriented healthcare team that keeps the patient at the center of the care delivery process. NMC stated its intent is to improve the patient flow and experience at the hospital by implementing a new Health Information System to reduce wait times.
The open house marked NMC’s first community engagement event, as the operator of Ruwais Hospital, after being selected by the Abu Dhabi National Oil Company (ADNOC) to operate the hospital, in line with ADNOC’s strategy to focus on its core business while strengthening healthcare offerings and positively impacting the Ruwais community and the broader Al Dhafra region.
“In the near future, NMC plans to introduce several new services at the hospital, including Dermatology and Aesthetics, LASIK Eye Surgery, Day Care Surgeries, Endoscopy, Rehabilitation, Lon -Term Care, and IVF,” said Prasanth Manghat, the CEO and Executive Director of NMC. “Our goal is to become the preferred referral hospital destination in the entire Al Dhafra region with the support of ADNOC and the Ruwais community,” concluded Prasanth.
