(BUSINESS WIRE) -- The Stevie® Awards, organizer of the world’s premier business awards programs, today issued a call for entries for the 2020 (first annual) Middle East Stevie Awards; the first business awards program to recognize innovation in the workplace throughout the Middle East and North Africa. The awards are the eighth Stevie Awards program, and the first new Stevie Awards program to be created in four years. Nominations may be submitted online through two entry deadlines: November 6 and December 4, 2019.

Judging for the competition will be conducted by more than 100 professionals around the world. Winners of the Gold, Silver, and Bronze Stevie Awards in the competition will be announced on January 8, 2020, and celebrated during a gala event in the United Arab Emirates, Ras Al Khaimah.

RAK Chamber sponsored the Middle East Stevie Awards

The new award program is sponsored by Ras Al Khaimah Chamber of Commerce and Industry (RAK Chamber). The RAK Chamber and the Stevie Awards recently signed an agreement that calls for the creation of the new awards program and the staging of its gala awards ceremony in RAK for the first three years, and at least every other year thereafter.

“RAK Chamber supports the regional business community to have its own Business Award program called “Middle East Stevie® Awards” by the Stevie Awards - the world’s most recognized business awards program.” said Mohamed Ali Alnuaimi, Chairman of RAK Chamber. “Where the award entries allow you to benchmark yourself against others and provide you with a great way to boost morale and show appreciation for your team and the work they do. It doesn’t matter if your business is big or small, as there are a variety of award categories out there for all businesses covering SME, large, and government organization.”

“I was extremely gratified when the RAK Chamber approached us about partnering with them on a new Stevie Awards program for the Middle East and North Africa,” said Michael Gallagher, founder and executive chairman of the Stevie Awards. “We have recognized the achievements of executives, entrepreneurs, and organizations across the region for many years in our other programs. The time is right for the region to have its own Stevie program. We are excited to launch the Middle East Stevie Awards and look forward to the region’s first gathering of Stevie Award winners in RAK next February.”
