An elderly Kuwaiti national has regained some of her mobility thanks to the expert treatment and quality care she received from NMC ProVita International Medical Center in Abu Dhabi.
The son of Fatima Saleh Ghanim, a 78-year old who was suffering from dizziness and movement-triggered vomiting after a subarachnoid hemorrhage, chose NMC ProVita after he read about the Center’s many success stories.
Abdulrahman Mohammed Ibrahim Ahmed said, “I am very impressed by NMC ProVita and the treatment my mother received; I never expected to find a healthcare facility of this calibre in the UAE. After her first week at NMC Provita, I noticed a considerable physical and psychological improvement in my mother. We are extremely grateful for the team’s efforts.”
When Fatima was first admitted, her endurance was poor, she could not stay upright and she needed assistance to get out of bed. In addition to assessing Fatima’s needs and supplying the necessary equipment, the multi-disciplinary team at NMC Provita provided Fatima and her family with training in mobility, self-care and transfers. Now Fatima can get out of bed with minimal assistance and sit fully upright in a wheelchair for an hour.
Dr Ahmad Al Khayer, said, “At NMC ProVita International Medical Center, we focus on enhancing patients’ lives by providing the highest quality healthcare services and a continuum of care.”
